CACFP-Steps to CACFP Success Workshop

This workshop covers basic CACFP administration including menu planning, food production records, meal counting and claiming, financial reports, supervision and training, civil rights, recordkeeping, preparing for a review and infant feeding.  The CACFP authorized representative must complete all modules applicable to their organization.  Other staff may register for one or all sessions. At least one person from new centers (the owner of for-profit organizations and authorized representative) must complete all modules of the core workshop online or over the Iowa Communications Network (ICN) and any additional modules online that pertain to the center. 

The entire workshop is offered online and core sessions only are offered over the Iowa Communications Network (ICN) five times per year.  A test must be completed over each module with a score of 80% or higher in order to receive a certificate.  Required details are included in the workshop flyer CACFP Steps to Success Workshops for Center Organizations Fiscal Year 2015.


Register for the ICN workshop at www.educateiowa.gov; click on “Calendar” (top of screen), find the month the workshop is scheduled for, click on the name of the workshop and follow the directions.  If you cannot register online contact Janelle Loney at (515)281-5356.  If you want DHS credit for the training, you must also register at https://ccmis.dhs.state.ia.us/trainingregistry/.  If you need assistance registering with DHS, contact trhelp@dhs.state.ia.us for assistance.
