Teachers have found these templates to be useful for creating pacing guides and/or curriculum maps.

Common Core State Standards Resources - A collection of resources from Common Core State Standards Initiative.

Draft Math Progressions - The Common Core State Standards in mathematics were built on progressions: narrative documents describing the progression of a topic across a number of grade levels, informed both by research on children's cognitive development and by the logical structure of mathematics. As they are being fine-tuned, they will be posted on this website.

The Futures Channel - Website consists of multimedia content which educators can use to enliven curriculum, engage students and otherwise enhance the learning experience; it allows teachers to connect mathematics, science, technology and engineering to the real world of careers and achievement, providing a context and purpose for what students are learning, allowing them to envision their own successful futures.

Illustrative Mathematics
Illustrative Mathematics provides guidance to states, assessment consortia, testing companies, and curriculum developers by illustrating the range and types of mathematical work that students experience in a faithful implementation of the Common Core State Standards, and by publishing other tools that support implementation of the standards.

Inside Mathematics - A professional resource for educators passionate about improving students' mathematics learning and performance. This site features classroom examples of innovative teaching methods and insights into student learning, tools for mathematics instruction that teachers can use immediately, and video tours of the ideas and materials on the site.

Investigating the Iowa Core Standards for Principals - Users must establish an account to access materials. Once an account has been established, click on the following links: Exploring the Iowa Core>Investigating the Iowa Core>Investigating the Iowa Core Leadership Resources>Investigating The Iowa Core Standards for Principals.

Leadership and Learning Center Webinars - The Leadership and Learning website provides links to several webinars - downloads of audio, video, and handouts. Topics include John Hattie's research on what works best in classrooms and how you can be sure that what you are doing will have the greatest impact on student learning; Doug Reeves on both the latest research and observations about how teachers and administrators can make the most effective use of student data; and  how to implement the Common Core standards effectively.

The Mathematics Common Core Toolbox - A resource site designed to support districts and schools working to meet the challenge and the opportunity of the CCSS. Find tools and instructional materials to help better understand and to implement the CCSS in Mathematics.

The site is broken into the following three sections:

  • Standards for Mathematical Practice - This section features Key Visualizations (animations) and Formative Assessment tools and tasks.
  • Standards for Mathematical Content - This secton features Key Visualizations (animations) that support the CCSS content standards.
  • Resources for Implementation - This section features Preparation for Implementation, Studying the Standards, and Sample Scope and Sequence.

NCTM: Math Common Core Coalition - This site includes material or links to information and resources that the organizations of the coalition are providing to the public and the education community about the CCSSM.

Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium

Symbaloo - Websites and resources devoted to the Common Core.

Teachers' Domain - A free digital media service for educational use from public broadcasting and its partners. It includes media resources, support materials, and tools for classroom lessons, individualized learning programs, and teacher professional learning communities. Videos and Lesson plans are matched to subject area topics.

Tools for the Common Core Standards - News about tools that are being developed to support implementation of the Common Core State Standards.

Unpacking the Standards - Documents support K-12 teachers in their understanding of the common core and essential standards. The unpacking documents demonstrate at a granular level the knowledge and skills students are expected to master at a particular grade.
