Contact(s)

The Office of Civil Rights (OCR) for the U.S. Department of Education published a fact sheet on March 18 on the risk of measles in schools while still providing civil rights protections to students with disabilities. The fact sheet provides school officials with recommendations and resources from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for addressing measles in schools without discriminating against individuals on the basis of disability. OCR also provided a letter from Arne Duncan and a resource sheet for administrators.
