Notice for public comment regarding IDEA State Application Part C
The Iowa Department of Education is preparing to submit its State Eligibility document for Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), as amended, to the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.
The plan reflects the cooperative efforts of the Department of Education and other agencies to provide a full program of services to all infants and toddlers ages birth through two with disabilities and their families as prescribed in the Act. This document contains the information required by the U.S. Department of Education for Iowa to continue to receive funding under the provisions of IDEA, Part C. The document contains a submission statement, assurances, and a description of use of funds for services available to all infants and toddlers ages birth through two with disabilities and their families within the State of Iowa. The document will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Education prior to April 27, 2018.
