Are fruit or vegetable "wheels" or "puffs" reimbursable for infants?
These foods contain a mixture of one or more grains, fruits or vegetables, and other ingredients. The only reimbursable commercially prepared fruits and vegetables are those that list vegetable or fruit as the first ingredient of the label. The only reimbursable grains for infants are dry iron-fortified infant cereals without fruit, IFC muffins and pancakes, and breads or crackers at snack for infants 8-11 months old. These products may be used as extra foods if instructions are documented in writing by the parent.
