Is the amount of sugar specified in the milk category in addition to naturally occurring lactose or does it include lactose? For instance, 1% strawberry provides about 22 g CHO per half pint, and skim chocolate has about 26 g, but these include lactose.

Answer: 

HKA milk standard refers to the total carbohydrate (lactose included), provided in an 8 oz. serving, as indicated on the nutrition facts label.
