Watch science standards conference live

graphic and link to live streaming of event on Oct. 20, 2015 from 9-3:45Educators and school administrators across the state can watch coverage of the Oct. 20 Iowa Science Standards Kick-off, which will be live streamed.

The conference, which is at capacity, is designed to bring together administrators, curriculum directors, Area Education Agency staff, teacher leaders and higher education faculty to discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with new science standards, adopted in August by the State Board of Education.

National leaders in the development and implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards will join state stakeholders to discuss efforts to implement new science standards in Iowa.

The event is hosted by the University of Iowa’s College of Education, the Jacobson Institute at Grand View University, and the Iowa Department of Education. An agenda is available here.

The event begins at 9 a.m. and ends about 3:45 p.m. Watch the live stream here.
