The 2018 Iowa Adult Education and Literacy Conference will be held July 16 -  18, 2018 at the FFA Enrichment Center on the DMACC campus in Ankeny.  This year's theme, "Educate and Elevate Iowa" is an important reminder that Adult Education plays a critical role in preparing adults to succeed in a global culture and economy by delivering a world-class education.  National presenters, state specialists, and local practitioners will provide you with high quality professional development, innovative instructional strategies, research-based models, and leadership development. More

The One Door Many Paths Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Summit will be held May 21, 2018, at the Sheraton West Des Moines. This is Iowa's second jointly facilitated event by Iowa Workforce Development, the Iowa Department of Education, Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services, Iowa Department for the Blind, and the Association of Iowa Workforce Partners in partnership with several other key state agencies and community partners. The One Door Many Paths Summit will focus on: Career Pathways, Sector Partnerships, Collaboration/Sharing Customers, Integrated Education and Training, Service Design, Promising Practices, and Serving Targeted Populations (Persons with Disabilities, Youth, Ex-Offenders, etc.)
