How is a "persistently dangerous school" defined?

To be a "persistently dangerous school," an attendance center must meet ALL of the following criteria for three (3) consecutive years:

  1. More than one percent (1%) of the student population of the attendance center has been expelled or suspended long-term for a violence-related offense; and
  2. Two or more students of the attendance center have been expelled for violated the gun-free school act; and
  3. Five (5) students or one percent (1%) of the attendance center's student population has transferred to another building under the individual student option.
