Districts in whole grade sharing arrangements are required to negotiate the TQ monies. Are there suggested methods to do this?
Iowa Code 282.10(4) requires whole grade sharing districts to negotiate the disposition of teacher quality funding provided under chapter 284. Chapter 284 funding includes teacher salary supplement and teacher professional development supplement. These amounts are reported on a per pupil basis on the district’s aid and levy worksheet. The law is silent regarding the outcome of the negotiations.
