What are the timelines for full implementation of the Iowa Core?

High schools were required to have implementation plans in place by July 1, 2010 with full implementation to occur by July 1, 2012. K-8 plans are required by July 1, 2012 with full implementation in 2014-2015. While these dates have been established by the legislature, the hope is that schools that are at different levels of readiness to adopt the Iowa Core will be able to do this before those established dates. To facilitate this, schools have developed implementation plans based on a self study assessing their current state of readiness to fully implement the Iowa Core.
