Can a Project Lead the Way course be utilized in another secondary CTE program?
Yes.
Schools are allowed to utilize Project Lead the Way (PLTW) courses in other CTE programs where the curriculum is appropriate. An example where schools are currently utilizing PLTW in other CTE programs would be the use of a mechanical drafting course in both Engineering Drafting and Design program and a Manufacturing Technology program. If a PLTW course is used in more than one program. the course must be designated as an Engineering Related "PLTW CIP # 15.15000000 course within Project Easier CTE plus section titled - Check core courses." This designation is important in order for the state to collect and maintain accurate data on PLTW.
