Schools or school districts will submit a revised five-year Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) by September 15 of the school year following the comprehensive site visit specified in Iowa Code section 256.11 which incorporates, when appropriate, areas of improvement noted by the school improvement visitation team. 281--Iowa Administrative Code 12.8(2)
CSIP is now one of several plans incorporated into C-Plan or Consolidated Plan. C-Plan functions as a school or district-wide planning tool that guides the instructional focus (goal priorities) for school districts and accredited non-public schools in Iowa. School districts and non-public schools are required to approve assurances and recertify their CSIPs (within C-Plan) by the September 15th of each school year. However, school districts and non-public schools are encouraged to annually update their CSIPs as part of C-Plan.
