An unique statewide student identifier is required for every public school student in prekindergarten - 12th grade in Iowa. This identifier, called the Iowa Student State ID, is assigned by the Iowa Department of Education (DE) using the State ID System. The State ID facilitates data submission via Project EASIER.
Access to the State ID System is restricted to authorized personnel. District, AEA and DE staff wishing to access the State ID System must sign an assurance statement covering system usage before they will be given access to the system.

How to Fix Dates That Shift by 1 Day & 4 Years
An Excel spreadsheet that has the 1904 Date System box selected will automatically add 1 day and 4 years to a student’s date of birth (or any other date). This shift in the date is difficult to notice because it is made instantly. It doesn’t matter whether the correct date is entered by hand or copied and pasted into the spreadsheet. The above guide will help you fix this issue in your Excel documents.
