Iowa students may be enrolled in accredited nonpublic schools, or special accredited college preparatory schools, and receive textbook services from the public school district in which the nonpublic school or college preparatory school is located or receive AEA services from the AEA in which the nonpublic school or college preparatory school is located. In order to receive these services, the accredited nonpublic school or college preparatory school completes a Nonpublic Certified Enrollment data collection by October 15 annually. This data collection includes Iowa school-age students by their public school district of residence who were enrolled in the nonpublic school or college preparatory school on October 1, and also includes the number of nonpublic students on whose behalf the nonpublic school or college preparatory school is requesting textbook services.
